After realising I now have 2 titanium plates holding both my collarbones together, that was one of the surgeons comments.
On a more serious note, everything went smooth with the operation. I came out of the anaesthetic good enough to travel home on the evening of the surgery and be at home with my family.
A nice phone call today ( saturday 17th ) with our team doctor, Dr Roger Palfreeman and I now have a plan for the next few weeks. Yes the dreaded turbo but first, 1 week of resting. Well I’ll actually be on a wattbike for my indoor training ( more on that later www.wattbike.com )
For now I’d just like to thank everyone for all the tweets, Facebook messages, texts and phone calls.
Recovery is just around the corner, so is Xmas, so I’m off for my first mince pie…
